Spence was named director of the month for Hollywood Video nationwide for The Man Next Door. Spence co-wrote and directed the short film, Stump The Millionaire, and the documentary “The Making Of Stump” that won Best Documentary at the 168 Hour Film Project in the spring of 2005.

Author

Spence worked on the craft of screenwriting for decades then turned his attentions to completing his first novel. The evolution of War World was birthed from his love of science fiction thrillers (i.e. Michael Crichton) and the fantasy novels of Tolkein and Terry Brooks. The story and characters expanded over time and what was once a single novel eventually grew to become a multi-book series. Drawing upon his years writing screenplays, Spence crafted a host of characters readers will love to spend time with.

"Memorable movies always contain unforgettable characters. Jeremy, Alex, Marissa, Selene and the other characters in War World are deeply flawed yet each are emodied with redeemable qualities that you can root for."

Spence also endeavored to keep the story moving swiftly.

"I grew up reading Louis L'amour westerns and he was an expert at crafting fast-paced novels filled with heroes and heroines who were always facing evils of various kinds. In War World...there is seemingly no end to evil..."

As War World sets to debut in late 2017, Spence is hard at work finishing the two follow up novels that will complete the first trilogy in the series.
